Registration for Summer Camp 2023 is now live! Summer Camp is a four day experience specifically designed for your student. We provide a distraction- free opportunity for your student to grow in their relationship with God, all while having a good time. At camp, your student will experience high energy worship, relevant messages, deeper connections with other students and Ark Youth leaders. Our prayer is that your student will emerge from their camp experience with a renewed sense of identity and purpose.

FAQ's

Who is it for?
Junior High students! 6th – 8th grade for the 2022 – 2023 school year!

When and where will camp take place?
Sunday – Wednesday, June 11th - June 14th, 2023. Camp will be held at Carolina Creek Christian Camps located in Huntsville, Texas.

What will students do at camp?
Students will engage in several worship services, relevant and informative breakout sessions, and small group discussions. They will also have the opportunity to participate in traditional camp activities such as zip lines, swimming, rock climbing, and ropes courses. In addition, there will also be friendly competition and creative games throughout camp.

What are the check in and pick up times for camp?
Check in will be open at The Ark Church in Conroe from 3:00 – 3:30pm on Sunday, June 11th. Pick up will be in the Purple Lot (by the house) at 12:15pm on Wednesday, June 14th. Students will be riding to and from camp on buses.

What if my student cannot attend the entire camp?
The camp services build upon one another. It is recommended that your students attends camp in its entirety. However, if your student will arrive late or leave early, please email Nadia Clayton at nadia.clayton@thearkchurch.com.

Are scholarships available?
The cost of this four day camp is $485. Due to the generosity of our church and donors, it is being offered to you for $249. If additional financial assistance is needed, please email Nadia Clayton at nadia.clayton@thearkchurch.com.

Will parents receive any updates throughout the event weekend?
We’ll be posting pictures, videos, and various information via Instagram. For updates, follow Ark Youth: @thearkyth

Can my student bring his/her cell phone?
To provide a distraction-free environment that helps students fully engage in the weekend getaway, we ask that phone be left at home. If you need to contact your student in the event of an emergency, call Nadia Clayton.

Are pranks allowed?
In an effort to create a great environment for every student to connect with God, pranks are prohibited. Violation of this will result in parent pickup in Huntsville.    

What items should my student bring with them?
Bible, journal, and pen
Money for the snack shack (Items range from $1 to $35)
Towel, washcloth, and flip-flops for the shower
Pajamas and plenty of undergarments
Casual clothing (weather-appropriate)
Sneakers or closed-toe shoes
Pillow and twin bedding or sleeping bag
Outfit for House Wars
Party Themed Outfits
Deodorant
Shampoo
Hairbrush or comb
Body soap
Toothbrush and toothpaste
Prescription or over the counter medicines must be in a ziplock baggie labeled with your student’s name and grade.

Will there be a parent info meeting?
There will be a Parent Info Meeting the Wednesday night before camp (June 7th) immediately following service from 8:05 – 8:30pm.

How will students be arranged in cabins?
Students will be arranged in cabins according to age and gender. There will be at least two adult leaders per cabin. We aim to place your student in a cabin with at least one friend. You can submit friend rooming requests in the registration form. Cabin assignments are final and cannot be changed.

What does the registration payment include?
Registration includes transportation, lodging, meals, and activity costs for the duration of camp. Students are welcome to bring money to buy snacks in our camp store.

What if my student has dietary restrictions, allergies, or a medical condition that would prevent them from attending?
Email us at arkyouth@thearkchurch.com with details and we will do our best to accommodate them.

Can I cancel my registration or get a refund?
All registration costs may be refundable. However, you may also transfer your registration to another student who may not otherwise be able to attend.

What are Team Wars? Team Wars is a competition where teams go head to head in friendly competition. These games are designed to create fun environments where students can engage in friendly competition. These competitions are games that you can only find at summer camp and encourage kids to be kids. Students go all out, dressed in their team colors to show their team spirit.

When will I find out my student’s team color?
