Dave Ralston came to The Ark in March 2017 after having served the past ten years as president and lead counselor of Life Training Ministries in Owensboro, Kentucky. He and his wife Ann minister together providing Biblical counseling to individuals and couples, as well as, facilitating and teaching recovery groups.
They have four grown children - Becky, Sean, Micheal, and Seth - and two grandchildren - Clay and Cayson Grace. Dave earned his doctoral degree in Pastoral Counseling from Colorado Theological Seminary, his master’s degree in Education from the University of Michigan, and his bachelor’s degree in Sports Medicine from Western Kentucky University. He worked over twenty years as an athletic trainer for major college athletics, including stints at Eastern Kentucky University, Indiana State University, and The University of Michigan. Dave was blessed to serve as the athletic trainer for the Michigan Wolverines basketball team during the years of the renowned "Fab Five".
God called Dave and Ann Ralston to lay down their commitment to a career in athletics, to become Christian Counselors who train and equip people of all walks of life to discover their identity in Jesus Christ. Their heart is to bring help, hope, and healing to a hurting, broken world (Isaiah 61:1).
