To see Bob Kapp at work or play, is to see a man of passion. A consummate competitor – he’s a formidable force on the golf course – he’s even more passionate when it comes to his life’s calling: being a spiritual coach to men and women and helping them grow in grace and faith.
His focus on growth and development can be seen through the numerous adult groups that have sprouted at The Ark, including those such as Joshua’s Men – a small group of men he is taking through a yearlong course in leadership and spiritual development.
“I have a goal for hundreds of guys to go through Joshua’s Men to be trained as spiritual leaders and be men of God in their homes and community and church.”
His hope is to see these and other programs grow in coming years to train and equip men and women for Christ.
Bob came to The Ark in July of 2010 after serving in full time ministry for 28 years in California and Pennsylvania.
Bob graduated from Southeastern College in Lakeland Florida with a degree in Ministerial Studies. He and his wife Joyce have been married 29 years and have two grown daughters. He enjoys golf, basketball, walking, the beach, travel, reading and spending time with his family.
A believer in the disciplines of the Christian life, Bob especially loves to devote himself to times of worship and prayer. He can be seen on long walks in his neighborhood each evening, walks devoted to listening to worship music and spending time in prayer and meditation.
Bob believes it’s critical for The Ark to grow in its ability to prepare leaders to handle the growth that is coming.
“I believe in developing, empowering and equipping leaders,” Kapp said. “I think God has put something in everybody’s heart to do.”
